Thanks to its geographic location, Kaş holds a significant place in tourism. Historically, it also played an important role as a crossroads connecting the Caria and Lycia regions. Located within the Antalya province and directly facing the Greek island of Meis, Kaş enjoys a unique charm.
This region, where historical and geographical richness blend harmoniously, attracts travelers and tourists not only from Turkey but also from around the world. Because of this, Kaş hosts a wide range of visitors each year.
In this article, I’ve highlighted a variety of accommodation options in Kaş, catering to different tastes and expectations. These options are organized under two main categories: by location and by type of lodging.
Let me remind you right away: the fact that there are no large hotels in Kaş is one of the main reasons people visit once and keep coming back. Why? Because Kaş has managed to avoid becoming an overcrowded hotel zone filled with towering buildings. Instead, it has preserved its stunning blue and green landscapes. This is why those who visit Kaş always want to return.
Before coming to Kaş, you should have a clear plan for the type of holiday you want. An unplanned trip to Kaş could be exhausting and potentially disappointing. In this guide, I’ll do my best to provide you with all the necessary information, and as you read on, you’ll understand exactly what I mean and why it matters.
Finally, if your idea of a vacation doesn’t involve luxurious, massive hotels, then you’re in the right place—let’s get started!
Best Areas and Hotels to Stay in Kaş
KAŞ CENTER
If you’ve arrived in Kaş and want to make the most of your holiday both day and night, Kaş Center is an ideal location for you. Imagine you’ve arrived and settled into your accommodation. By day, you can swim in the crystal-clear blue waters, and by night, immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife, exploring the variety of restaurants, tavernas, and bars Kaş has to offer.
If you haven’t arrived by car, staying near public transportation is a key reason to stay in Kaş Center. There are beaches within walking distance, and you can also reach other beaches via minibus. However, keep in mind that Kaş is a town with steep slopes, so whether you use a minibus or not, walking to your accommodation, the beach, or a restaurant might be a bit challenging, especially during the high season in July and August. My suggestion is to rent a car if possible, allowing you the freedom to explore Kaş’s various beaches, coves, and villages without constraints.
Other advantages of staying in the center include the ability to dine at different restaurants close by, followed by drinks at a pleasant bar or taverna. You can let yourself get caught up in the lively atmosphere of Kaş and create more memories. If you enjoy nightlife, I definitely recommend staying in Kaş Center. Whether you’re a honeymoon couple, a group of young friends, or a family, the center offers a variety of accommodation options including campsites, luxury hotels, guesthouses, bungalows, villas, and stone houses. I’ll delve into these options further, so keep reading.
Now, let’s go over some additional advantages of staying in Kaş Center. If you have a long list of activities you want to do in Kaş, being in the center will make it easier to participate in various activities. For example, if you’ve booked a boat tour, most tours offer transfer services from certain central locations, but being in the center allows you more freedom and flexibility as you can walk to the starting point of the tour. This also applies to activities like diving and paragliding.
Another reason I personally love staying in the center is the feeling of being closer to the local community. This allows you to step away from your city life. You can walk to a local market when needed, buy fresh fruits and vegetables at the farmer’s market, and even if you don’t shop, the market atmosphere gives you the chance to connect with the locals. Just imagine: you’ve escaped the hustle and bustle of a large city for your short annual vacation and arrived in Kaş—doesn’t simply blending in with the local atmosphere help you forget the stress of city life?

Aquaprincess Hotel
If you’re looking to stay in Kaş Center and want a beachfront hotel, Cappari Hotels is a great option. They have two hotels: one in Kaş Center and another in Çukurbağ. I’ll be discussing the Aquaprincess Hotel, which is located in the center. For me, sustainability is a very important concept, and one of my top priorities when choosing accommodation is whether the place has a sustainability policy. This is also an approach that Kaş Municipality emphasizes. Cappari Hotels is one of the hotels with a sustainability policy. If this is important to you as well, it’s a hotel you can stay at with peace of mind.Aquaprincess Hotel is located in the Küçükçakıl area of Kaş Center. The hotel has a private beach for its guests, although there’s no sandy beach; it’s set up on a rocky area with a sunbathing terrace. There is also a café serving food and drinks by the beach. The hotel is within walking distance to the town center, restaurants, bars, and many other places you might want to visit.Hotel Luna Kaş
If you’re looking to stay in Kaş Center and want a beachfront hotel, Hotel Luna Kaş is an excellent option for you. Located in the Küçükçakıl area, the hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and all the amenities Kaş has to offer. The hotel has a private beach for its guests, but instead of a sandy beach, it features a large sunbathing terrace built on rocky ground. There is also a café on the beach serving food and drinks. If you want to enjoy the sea directly while staying close to the town center, Hotel Luna Kaş offers both comfort and convenience as an ideal accommodation choice.ÇUKURBAĞ YARIMADASI
Çukurbağ is a small coastal village located very close to Kaş Center, and is also part of the famous Lycian Way. If you’re someone who wants to stay a bit away from the lively life of Kaş but still doesn’t want to be too far from the center, I highly recommend visiting Çukurbağ Peninsula. There aren’t many accommodation options here; it’s more of a boutique hotel area. If you’ve arrived by car and are considering staying in a boutique hotel, this location will certainly meet your expectations.
Speaking of its advantages, if you’re traveling by car and watching the sunset in Kaş, the stunning **Çukurbağ view** you see is right here. The hotels have their own private beaches, and you won’t face any parking issues. If your room has a sea view, the sight you’ll see when you open the curtains in the early morning hours may leave you mesmerized. Watching the sunset here is also a special experience that you won’t find in the center hotels.
It has an incredible nature, which I think doesn’t even need to be mentioned. I can say this for all of Kaş.
On the Peninsula, there are also beaches that you can access from other parts of Kaş.
As for the downsides, while the hotels have their own private beaches, on the entire peninsula, or almost everywhere, you’ll have to descend stairs to reach the beach. For some, these stairs may be inconvenient. I wouldn’t highly recommend Çukurbağ Peninsula for families with children. If you have mobility issues or knee problems, your vacation could become tiring and may affect your enjoyment.
Aside from the hotel, the dining options here are not as abundant as in the center. I would say there are almost none. However, assuming you stay here, the **drive to the center takes about 8-10 minutes**.

Korsan Ada Hotel
One of the first hotels on Çukurbağ Peninsula, Korsan Ada Hotel is highly recommended as a value-for-money option.
It is located right by the sea, and you can enter the water directly from the stone platform. The terraced beach area features numerous cabanas, spacious enough for two or three people to comfortably use, complete with beds and pillows for a relaxing experience. The cabanas are equipped with curtains that can be drawn to shield you from the sun, and from a distance, they resemble a pirate island.
In addition to the cabanas, there are also sunbeds available, offering the freedom to align them according to the position of the sun. Food and beverage service is available on the beach. Read more>>
Kalkan
I don’t know of any place in Turkey that resembles the Greek Islands as much as Kalkan does. A heavenly corner of paradise, this place beautifully combines the perfect harmony of blue and white. Located 27 km from Kaş, Kalkan offers a more tranquil, peaceful atmosphere compared to Kaş, yet still provides a luxurious vacation experience. It’s a quieter destination but remains lively day and night.
Kalkan has a variety of accommodation options, with villas being particularly popular. There are many villa options in the area. The most well-known areas for accommodation are Islamlar and Üzümlü. In the continuation of this article, I will provide detailed information about villas as an accommodation option.
Kaş Köyleri
I won’t go into detail about each of the villages in Kaş, but I have to mention that this area offers an incredible alternative for accommodation. If you’re planning your Kaş vacation and envision a true relaxation and unwinding experience, I have a fantastic suggestion that will distance you from the perception of Kaş as a lively, nightlife-filled region. Don’t forget that there are places in Kaş’s villages where you can stay, and before diving into your research, make sure to read my accommodation recommendations, which I’ve personally experienced.
Now, let me answer why you should consider staying in a village in Kaş. Along with its peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, Kaş’s villages boast a magnificent climate. While daytime temperatures fluctuate depending on the month, they tend to be significantly lower compared to the center. At night, the sky is filled with stars, creating a mystical ambiance. Everywhere you look is covered with plants and olive trees, with Meis Island right before you.
Near your accommodation, there will likely be various hiking trails and paths, and it’s highly probable that the owners of your accommodation have extensive knowledge of these areas. Take the opportunity to ask them about different spots, herbs, plants, and trees and explore together. It will surely be an unforgettable experience.
If you want to have a different vacation experience, away from the usual routine, Kaş’s villages offer you the chance to stay in a peaceful setting just 20-25 minutes from the sea, where you can immerse yourself in nature and create new, unforgettable memories.
Before deciding to stay in one of Kaş’s villages, here are some important things to keep in mind: there may not be a nearby market, and your accommodation will likely be a village house, so it’s a good idea to take care of your food and drink needs before arriving. I recommend getting in touch with the place you’re staying at to inquire about the nearest market and road conditions.
Since accessing the sea will require a car and the roads will be further from the center, if commuting to the beach is going to be a problem for you, this may not be the best choice for accommodation.
For families with children, while you may want to spend more time in nature, your children may be eager to head to the beach, which could become a little frustrating. This might slightly affect your peace of mind. It might be better to visit once your children are older, but if you have a curious child who enjoys exploring different plants, why not?
